Here's a band you may (or may not) heard of: Jones Band, from Streator. Kevin Chalfant, who later fronted 707 and was with The Storm in the '90s, was lead singer for Jones Band. One song that got area airplay on radio station WOLI-FM in Ottawa was "Twenty Years (How Long Since You've Been Gone)." Chalfant lives in Grand Ridge and has his own recording studio.
